A collaboration project between Hobbledehoy and Zemër – an initiative to support workers, makers and suppliers in Albania led by Lara of FOURTEEN NIGHTS AT SEA.
These carefully designed custom-made bags are deeper than a typical tote for better storage, with a longer strap so it can be carrier over your shoulder. Made from a super-strong hemp/cotton blend that’s light-weight and can still be folded or rolled away easily. Material has been ethically sourced and the meticulous hand-made kind of detail you won’t find off the rack. More about Zemër below…

Description
What is Zemër?
Zemer means ‘heart’ or ‘heartland’ in Albanian language. Zemer is an ethical business and social enterprise, importing natural material tote bags, mountain tea and handmade socks designed by Zemer and made in Albania.
Purchasing Zemer products will help support workers, makers and suppliers in Albania as well as doing your part to reduce plastic bag use in Australia.
After redefining designs over the last two years, Lara has launched the beginnings of Zemer, already providing employment to a number of skilled craftspeople in Albania. With plans already in motion for more action and impact.
