So it brings me great pride to announce This Will Destroy You‘s inauguration into Australian-made content, the Holden Motor Company have selected the band’s ‘The Mighty Rio Grande’ track to feature during the video promo for their first electric model, Holden Volt (watch below).
The first preview has already begun airing on Australian network and cable television, radio and online. In recent times the song has also been brought to worldwide attention by it’s prominent use through the 2011 film ‘Moneyball’ (Brad Pitt) and as the soundtrack to “Best Picture” nominee montage at the 84th Annual Academy Awards (aka The Oscars).
