From the ashes of Braid rose Hey Mercedes, Robert Nanna put The City On Film on the backburner and now along with the other boys had a band to focus most of their effort on. International tours, records on Vagrant, Polyvinyl, Grand Theft Autumn and one of the first early adopters to run a ‘band blog’, which they called ‘Are You Wearing A Wire?‘.

After 4+ very busy years and 368 shows, Hey Mercedes broke up in the Spring of 2005. The band have completed two short reunion tours since, but currently remain officially disbanded.
