Thieves 7″

jamie_banjo

This weekend I have confined myself to my room to finish up some songs that I have been strumming at for months now. As I am going into the studio to record for my solo 7″ titled Thieves on Thursday night. I am recording  with Sam Johnson at 3 Phase Studios. Sam recorded the A Death In The Family album Small Town Stories last year and to me  it was the best experience in a studio that I have ever had.  Sam is so patient & passionate about his work, it’s just such a pleasure to work with him. I  am so excited & can not wait. I have about 5 songs that I will take in and see which ones turn out the best. My friend Donnie gave me a Cello last year & I have been fumbling with it for some months now. I can at least hold notes on it so I am hoping to get some of that on there. We will see!

I just have to say that this is pretty crazy to be doing my very own solo record & I would like to thank Tomeldehoy for making it happen. So thank you Tom! I hope it turns out ok & you sell enough to make your money back! :)

Also, my dear friend Jen Buxton and I are going to record a Jawbreaker covers split in the coming months, as we plan to tour together later in the year. The split will be a hand made CDR and will only be available at our shows. More news on that in the coming months anyways.

Thank you for your precious interweb time :)

  2. If those CD-Rs are only available at shows can you pretty please come to Sydney and play some shows.
We’re desperately running out of venues here but I’m sure if we try we can keep it somewhere awesome.
